The Hill was Our Hill -short story
Our town is a small cluster of buildings out on the outskirts of society. The farms are all spread around but the homes were planted together at a focal point. Right smack dab in the middle of our town was a small bald hill with an out cropping of stone just barely visible on one side.

It was everyone's hill.

It was an unspoken agreement that the hill belonged to the town and no one would build on it or claim it. Parties and spectacles were held on the peak and it was the children's kingdom the rest of the time.
One day a city guy comes into town and is charmed by our little world and the people. But he saw that hill and perhaps it inspire

If you try to fail but succeed instead, which have you done?

Ha ha, tries to hang himself with rope that's too long. Falls through the floor and the rope merely sinches around his head and then he finds that he, quite suddenly, has a reason to live.

The idea behind this kinda in a weird roundabout way reminds me of that Flyleaf song "Tina". Wonderful song. :nod:
