The Hill was Our Hill -short story
Our town is a small cluster of buildings out on the outskirts of society. The farms are all spread around but the homes were planted together at a focal point. Right smack dab in the middle of our town was a small bald hill with an out cropping of stone just barely visible on one side.

It was everyone's hill.

It was an unspoken agreement that the hill belonged to the town and no one would build on it or claim it. Parties and spectacles were held on the peak and it was the children's kingdom the rest of the time.
One day a city guy comes into town and is charmed by our little world and the people. But he saw that hill and perhaps it inspire

FINALLY! That took forever just from shear distractedness and procrastination on the part of busyness. I am proud of Shrimp man, Penrod, I beleive it tis.
And by the way Christmas is contageous, nobody can resist hot chocolate and a present when they're wearing snuggly winter wear and it's snowing on them in the middle of the Caribbean.
So very Merry Late CHristmas present to all my faithful watchers and commenters and anyone else who likes to be amused.
