I can’t remember how I got here or why I am here. I just know that after forever the blinding pain made me dull and senseless. I was blind and frozen, and had long stopped feeling inside. EDIT: Okay, I've like changed the title of this thing for the third time XD

I imagine he's standing there on Becket's deck being irritated by some dude in a powdery white wig and then, with his acute, supernatural senses detects a faint stirring in fate that seals his doom.

Drew this sketch while camped at my uncles. YAY I DREWED AGIN! Very therapeutic in both artsum and fandum.
Colored it on photoshop.

The hat is just so gross and raggedy and UBER DETAILED.
I like the satin-lighting on it~
And I like the random sailcloth and rope pulley background of EPIC WIN :iconftwplz:

You always draw such expressive eyebrows, even when the brows themselves are missing. XD Hurr hurr hurr. Wrinkly squid brows... I never tire of them.

Okay, the texture on Davy's entire face officially ROCKETH. Look! It's the coffee cup texture from the 'making of' scenes-! 8DD
Maaaaan, you've got his face structure down so well you could draw him WHILE CAMPING or something. :iconicameplz: Seriously, the plethora of perfectly placed wrinkles and the cheekbones, they are niiiiiiice.
The suction cups make me happy.
So do the doodley-awesome mussels and other growths on his shoulder~

I did draw him while camping, but I took all my printed refs.
And yes, the coffee cup. Except I couldn't find a dirty coffee cup online so I found some molecular structure model and made it out of that. XD

*OH LOOK I'M COMMENTING* OTL

Geez this is awesome. It has this awesome, vintage shade to it. Did you add a brown layer over that? I just love it, like it would be a classic sketch by someone who actually saw him. :D It also kind of has this charcoal/watercolor feel to it... like someone did a sketch, did a watercolor wash, then shaded with charcoal/pencil. It really feels like that to me... :P

The background kind of clashes, though, it lacks that same vintagey (LANGUAGE LIBERTIES) feeling. :P

BUT I LOVE IT NONETHELESS. :heart:

XD my background are always artificial. Especially that pully back there I just pulled that out of my props archive.
But what I did is sketched it, then did a toned layer and then cjust colored over it all.
But thank you for joining the living, I was beginning to worry about you.
