You know, in the French movie, the Beast was killing and eating the deer in the woods. There was a really tense scene where he's walking with Belle and a deer runs by. He REALLY wanted to go after it! I wonder if our pal here ever did anything similar.
I'm making a book for my marine biology class and I asked my teacher if I could bind it into an actual book instead of one of those cheesy stapled books and he told me I could. So, now I'm having indecision about how many pages to make the signatures. The book has to be a minimum of 12 pages (mine will probably end up being more than 16 or so). So I'm considered doing single page signatures, but then I thought that maybe the signatures wouldn't be strong enough to be sewn properly. Then I thought about doing two page signatures instead, but I also don't want to end up in a situation where I have two or three blank pages at the back of my book that I can't utilize... So this is where your master expertise comes in. XD What would you do?
Blank pages are all right XD Professional Printed books have multiple blank pages at the beginning and end. You can utilize these if you want to make a title page, preface, index, or citation. If you do leave them blank you can divide it between the front and back so it has symmetry. ~If you're sewing signatures with 3 or less pages make sure that when you draw the string taught that you pull in line with the spine not adjacent or you can rip the holes.
Lol, Mom told me the same thing about the blank pages, too...I guess the only thing about that is that I don't know how many blank pages I'll end up with... Anyway, I'll probably just do that, it seems easier anyway. Yeah, that's a habit I've developed over the past year or so due to many ruined signatures. XD I learned the hard way, lol. Oh, you know, speaking of signatures, I have another question. I don't have access to any good cord for sewing my signatures, so I generally use several strands of my quilting thread. Since I'm going to have smaller signatures, should I use less thread so it's not as bulky? Would it affect the strength of my spine? I would think so, but I'm not that experienced yet. XD
And yes, this is helping a lot. Thank you so much!
Anyway, I came on your page with the full intent of asking your advice if you're willing?
What can I help you with?

I hope this helps.
