Ivan Stole My Spoon(See artist notes)Well, even though I lost my spoon I used it only as much as I remembered to. I ate every meal with just that cheep flimsy plastic spoon and it was a pain. Then one day on the way to school a man dressed in heavy winter clothes came and snatched my spoon right from my pocket. I broke into a dead run chasing him down. he ran forever and ever so I stole a motorcycle and continued my pursuit. We went clear across North America and over the northern ice cap clear into Russia. There he jumped into a time machine and I jumped on top of it. I wasn't about to let him steal my spoon! He went several decades back in time. He then ran into a work camp and into one of the barracks. When I entered there were tons of people inside eating sludge. I checked every single person and their spoon till I found mine and I shouted at him, "Hey, that's my spoon! Mrs. Hunter will kill me if I don't bring it back!" he spoke only in Russian so I found one guy that spoke English to translate and
To Storyboard or Not to Storyboard?I wrote this for my writing class but also used it as an excuse to figure out if this is really what I wanted to do as a career. I decided to post it since this is an art website and there might be those of you considering this question as well. DO-NOT-COPY The point in a college student’s life when they’re half way through their degree and still don’t know what to do is what I call a quarter-life-crises. I started working on an associate of illustration at SLCC and five years later I transferred to BYU to get my bachelors. I had a bug put in my ear from a professor back at SLCC that I’d make for a good storyboard artist. I have a knack for picturing a scene from any angle in my head and being able to draw it. I decided that it was as good a career as any so I will now explore this obscure position.Now that I’m getting closer to the point of having to finalize this decision I need to decide for sure if that’s what I want.
